The Merch story really begins, travels with and surrounds one innovative motorcycle enthusiast, chopper builder and ultimately a world class motorbuilder, Gerry Merchant, known as Merch, to all hs friends and associates.

It is a 35 year journey through hard times, bad times, good times but always learning and fun times.

It is also fair to say that the Big Bore motors with high cubic inch measurements and unreal rear wheel torque, that are so common today had thier start from this humble man diligent quest to bring the legendary square motor(4 1/4 x 4 1/4) to life and the engine and motorcycle buildung university that his 35 years have given him.
